“You have a second home there,” Prenga invites Joshua to Albania – the Briton surprises with his comment

British boxing star Anthony Joshua has shared with his followers moments from his clash with Kristian Prenga, highlighting the respect and friendship formed after the duel.

In the footage posted by Joshua, the moment he drapes the Albanian flag over his shoulders is seen, while he also appears in the company of Prenga’s family members, who were dressed in traditional Albanian clothing.

Joshua praised the importance of sport beyond the result, emphasizing that respect between opponents is one of the greatest values that boxing brings.

“The greatest thing that sport creates is not always the winner, but the mutual respect between people who have earned each other’s respect. This is the true legacy of sport,” Joshua wrote.

In the video posted, the Briton also thanked Kristian Prenga’s parents for the opportunity created for this bout.

“I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to fight your son. It was a great fight. We both gave our best and I appreciate you, the team and Prenga,” Joshua said.
