Woman Found Dead Near the Fshajt Bridge in Gjakova

On Friday morning, a woman was found without signs of life near the Fshajt Bridge in Gjakova.

Lumni Graishta, the regional director of the Gjakova Police, confirmed to Indeksonline that all necessary units had been deployed at the scene. The forensic medicine team is expected to arrive to conduct the relevant examinations.

According to preliminary information released by Graishta, the victim is believed to be around 50 years old. No visible signs of violence were observed during a superficial examination of the body.

Graishta stated that, at this stage, the police have no information beyond what was published in the statement, as forensic medicine officials have not yet arrived and no further action can be taken until then. He said the relevant units are at the scene, while the victim’s identity has not yet been determined. The police also verified reports from this week concerning missing persons but found no case matching the victim. Additional information is expected after the examination by the Institute of Forensic Medicine and investigations by the regional sector.
