Vucevic reacts after the arrest of nine Serbs: Serbia will not remain silent

Former Serbian Prime Minister and leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, Milos Vucevic, has reacted strongly following the arrest of nine Serbs in Zubin Potok who are suspected of involvement in war crimes.

In a post on the social media platform X, Vucevic defended the detainees, claiming that their arrest was unjust and that they were being persecuted because of their ethnicity.

According to him, the police operation, in which nine people are alleged to have been arrested, including a 90-year-old man, is aimed at creating “an atmosphere of fear” among Serbs in northern Kosovo.

Vucevic accused Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, saying that the use of war crimes allegations is part of a “political campaign” and an attempt to divert attention from the verdicts against former KLA leaders.

He said that the Serbian Progressive Party and the Serbian state are supporting the families of those arrested, who, according to him, have also been provided with legal assistance.

“We are telling Pristina and the international community that no one will frighten the Serbian people and that we will not remain silent,” Vucevic wrote.
