VLEN: EU integration remains a priority, North Macedonia moves forward with reforms and close cooperation

In the statement published today, VLEN said the joint meeting between the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, reaffirmed that the country’s orientation toward European integration continues to be a strategic priority, while reforms are advancing in close partnership with the European Union.

According to VLEN, the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali in this meeting is an indication of this political force’s commitment to keeping the European agenda at the center of institutional action and accelerating the reform processes that bring the country closer to the European Union.

VLEN also expressed the belief that the path toward European integration requires uninterrupted commitment, responsible decisions, and the implementation of reforms that bring tangible benefits to citizens. For this reason, it stressed that the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan remains among the main priorities, with the aim of ensuring that the effects of this process are reflected for every citizen through more functional institutions, a more developed economy, and a better standard of living.

The statement also says that cooperation with the European Commission will continue to deepen, while institutions will engage responsibly in implementing the necessary reforms and making the greatest possible use of the opportunities offered by the Growth Plan.
