Violent brawl in Çair, 19-year-old and 13-year-old arrested

A 19-year-old and a 13-year-old from Skopje were detained by police following a physical altercation in Çair, in which three people were injured with a knife.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the incident was recorded on August 31, at around 10:00 p.m., in the territory of Çair.

On September 1, 2026, the Violent Crime Unit at the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector deprived B.I. (19) and the 13-year-old minor, both residents of Skopje, of their liberty. The detention was carried out following a report of the altercation that occurred on August 31, 2026, at around 10:00 p.m., in the territory of Çair.

According to police information, the conflict took place between two people on one side and I.Z. (19), the detained 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, all from Skopje, on the other side.

During the altercation, the 13-year-old allegedly used a knife and inflicted stab wounds on the three people from the other side.

I.Z. and the 13-year-old sustained serious bodily injuries, while the 16-year-old sustained bodily injuries.

Following the incident, police conducted an inspection of the scene, while three knives, a rubber baton and other items were seized for the purposes of further proceedings.

The Ministry of Interior announced that, after the case has been fully documented, a criminal complaint will be submitted to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje.
