VIDEO/ Saimir Korreshi raises the alarm over the power grid: Lives are being lost, the situation resembles a war toll

Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi has denounced the deterioration and degradation of the country’s power grid.

According to him, calls have been made for months for infrastructure intervention, but the concerns raised have been ignored by the government.

Korreshi also linked the grid’s dire condition to the loss of electricians’ lives, while expressing his condolences to the victims’ families.

“A war toll, the loss of human lives because of the outdated power grid. We have been calling for months about the degraded grid, but everything has fallen on deaf ears because of the government’s arrogance, especially Karakaçi’s,” Korreshi said.

The Democratic MP called for problems with the electrical infrastructure to receive greater attention, as well as for measures to be taken to guarantee the safety of employees working on the grid.
