A serious incident has shaken the United States after a video shared online captured the moment Bart DiGuglielmo, a 62-year-old U.S. Army veteran, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Walmart store in Florida following a confrontation believed to have started over a parking space.

The incident was recorded on Tuesday afternoon in North Lauderdale, where the 62-year-old was initially involved in a verbal argument with a woman in the store’s parking lot. According to U.S. media reports and publicly released information, the situation spiraled out of control within moments when DiGuglielmo approached the woman.

The footage appears to show the woman pulling out a gun and opening fire on the veteran while he was several meters away from her. After the shots were fired, the man is seen clutching his stomach with his hands before collapsing to the ground.

Immediately after the incident, DiGuglielmo was rushed to a local hospital, but he did not survive his injuries despite doctors’ efforts to keep him alive.
