Violent brawl at a wedding in Ohio, 3 people arrested and injured

A wedding ceremony in Ohio, USA, ended in chaos after a conflict broke out between two families. Guests hurried toward the parking lot after a man allegedly threatened those present with a knife.

The incident began following a longstanding family dispute. One of the guests told authorities that he was dancing when “four brothers attacked him,” while the situation escalated within moments.

Local police said that 46-year-old Raed Mahmoud Suleiman took a knife from a table and began threatening other people in the hall. Video footage of the incident shows tensions among those present, while one person throws a chair at the man holding the knife.

“He took it one step further and pulled out an actual knife and was threatening people with it,” said Westlake Police Chief Jerry Vogel.

Law enforcement had been informed in advance that people had been injured. When officers arrived at the reception venue, at least 40 people had left the hall and were in the parking lot, trying to get away from the brawl.

According to investigators, the confrontation was linked to longstanding hostility between the two families. The two sides, who normally do not meet, were at the same wedding, and the encounter appears to have revived conflicts from the past.

Raed Mahmoud Suleiman was arrested and charged with assault, inducing panic and tampering with evidence. He allegedly threw away the knife before police arrived. Two other men were also arrested.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to fully establish the circumstances of the incident and determine the role of each person involved.
