Video/Merab Dvalishvili grapples with Mark Zuckerberg on a boat and throws him into Lake Tahoe

Mark Zuckerberg has continued his martial arts training in an unusual way, taking part in a duel with UFC star Merab Dvalishvili on a boat in Lake Tahoe.

Footage of the encounter was shared on Instagram by the founder of Meta himself. The video was recorded by a referee and several of the people on board the boat.

From the outset, the duel produced a spectacular scene: Dvalishvili grabbed Zuckerberg and threw him into the lake’s cold water. The head of Facebook nevertheless showed that his relationship with martial arts is not limited to watching fights.

Zuckerberg actively took part in the encounter, exchanging punches and kicks with Dvalishvili. At several points in the video, he even appears to manage to knock his opponent to the floor.

The former UFC lightweight champion, considered one of the leading figures in the division, did not appear to be putting his opponent under maximum pressure. Nevertheless, at certain moments Dvalishvili made the gap between Zuckerberg and an elite professional athlete clear.

The fight was watched by people in nearby boats. At one point in the video, Zuckerberg’s wife, Priscilla Chan, also appears, moving across the lake in a kayak.

Seeing her husband facing off shirtless, Chan jokingly commented: “Mark doesn’t wear a shirt.”

According to Zuckerberg’s explanation, it was Dvalishvili who had insisted that he take off his shirt because that way he “looks more like a fighter.” Chan appeared to confirm what her husband had said.

Although they exchanged blows, the atmosphere remained friendly. Dvalishvili had previously told Zuckerberg that they could do such an activity “every day.”

This was not the first time the two had faced each other. Zuckerberg and Dvalishvili had also gone through several rounds in the ring during December.

In recent years, the founder of Facebook has become a major admirer of mixed martial arts. He has also attended fights alongside UFC President and CEO Dana White.

Outside the world of technology, MMA has become one of Zuckerberg’s most visible passions, and he has occasionally shared footage of his training sessions with the public.

The duel on Lake Tahoe ended with the same spectacle with which it had begun. Dvalishvili grabbed Zuckerberg again and threw him into the water, while immediately afterward he also jumped into the lake.

In this way, the second recorded encounter between them ended with Zuckerberg and Dvalishvili in the waters of Lake Tahoe.
