VIDEO/ Maliq Municipality Employee Calls for Korçë to Be Dissolved, Sparking Laughter

An employee of the administration at Maliq Municipality became part of the discussion at the hearing on Administrative-Territorial Reform held in Korçë, after her statement caused laughter among those present.

In her remarks, she said that Maliq Municipality should not be dissolved, but on the contrary should continue to exist; according to her, it should even remain the only one, while Korçë Municipality should be dissolved.

“I practice my profession at Maliq Municipality as a specialist in the Tax Inspectorate. Maliq Municipality should not be dissolved. Maliq Municipality should remain a municipality, and not only as a municipality, but Korça should be dissolved and it should be Maliq Municipality (laughter is heard in the hall). I have my own views, then you can laugh and sneer here.

Wait for me to finish, then you may laugh and make your counter-reply. When I, as an administrative employee, come here to the post office in Korçë, we are not served because we come from the Maliq area; I am a resident of Korçë, but I only work in Maliq”, the citizen declared.

The reaction in the hall came immediately after this stance, as other participants at the hearing burst into laughter during her speech.
