Albania triumphed 2-0 over Belarus, but at the “Air Albania” stadium, the political chants of the red-and-black supporters also drew attention. During the match, the stands echoed with chants against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama.

“Rama, resign” was one of the chants repeated by the supporters.

Among the slogans heard at the stadium was also: “Arrest Rama.”

Gazment Bardhi, head of the Parliamentary Group, also reacted. In a social media post, he said that the same demand is being heard in Albania, in the diaspora, at stadiums, in squares, in schools and everywhere else.

“In Albania, in the diaspora, at stadiums, in squares, schools and everywhere, there is only one chant: ‘Rama, go away,’” Bardhi wrote.

Although it was a football match, the supporters at “Air Albania” expressed their dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Edi Rama, drawing the attention of those present with their messages.
