The Serious Crimes Department of the Basic Court in Peja has ordered the defendant, Vezir (Ramush) Haziraj, to be held in custody for 30 days.

The detention period will be calculated from August 15, 2026, when Haziraj was arrested, and will remain in effect until September 13, 2026, according to the obtained ruling.
He is suspected of the criminal offense of “unauthorized ownership, control or possession of a weapon,” and the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Peja has opened an investigation against him.
The ruling was issued following a hearing held on August 16, during which the court found that the legal requirements for imposing this measure had been met.
The ruling states that the Prosecutor’s Office launched its investigation on August 10, 2026, and that the case concerns suspicions of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized possession of a weapon.
