Ukrainian Man Chased Around Van by Drone Before Explosion, Kyiv Accuses Russia of Targeting Civilians

A 52-year-old Ukrainian vendor has survived a Russian drone attack at a market in Kherson. According to Ukrainian authorities, the aircraft pursued the man before exploding near him.

In footage released publicly, the civilian can be seen circling his van and trying to find shelter as the FPV drone hovers above him.

After several attempts, the drone struck near the vehicle and caused a powerful explosion. The man survived but suffered blast injuries, shrapnel wounds and a concussion.

Ukrainian police said the 52-year-old was not involved in any military activity but was a civilian selling goods at the market. Ukrainian authorities described the incident as another deliberate attack against the civilian population.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said the attack in Kherson is suspected of constituting a war crime and called for an international investigation.

Meanwhile, attacks in Ukraine continue to claim civilian lives. Ukrainian authorities reported that two children and an elderly woman were killed in another Russian attack in the Sumy region.
