Ukraine Under Russian Attack Overnight, Two Killed and Dozens Injured

Two people were killed and dozens of others injured in Russian attacks carried out overnight across various regions of Ukraine.

Ukrainian authorities said Russian forces used more than 100 drones, as well as several missiles, striking residential areas and civilian infrastructure facilities.

In Kherson, one of the attacks sparked a fire at the premises of a State Emergency Service unit. In Odesa, flames engulfed an apartment on the fifth floor of a 10-story building. Meanwhile, shelling in the Poltava region set an industrial facility ablaze.

The heaviest toll was recorded in Zaporizhzhia, where one person was killed and nine others were injured. In the same area, the attacks also caused a fire at a shopping center. In the Kharkiv region, three people were injured after strikes hit a residential neighborhood in the city of Balakliia.

Russian strikes were also reported in the Sumy region, where civilian infrastructure facilities in Romny, Nedryhailiv, Korovyna and Sumy were hit. In the Donetsk region, the attacks killed one person and injured 13 others.

Ukrainian authorities continue to report damage to civilian buildings and infrastructure facilities in several parts of the country.
