Two detained in Kumanovo, suspected of taking out quick loans in the name of 19 people

The Kumanovo police detained today, on 15.07.2026, A.S.D. (22) and M.V. (34), both residents of Kumanovo. The Department of Internal Affairs in Kumanovo filed criminal charges against them, suspecting A.S.D. of the crimes of ‘fraud’ and ‘misuse of personal data’, and M.V. of the criminal offense of ‘aiding’.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MPB) announcement, A.S.D. is suspected that, from January to July 2026, she acted with premeditation and with the intent, together with M.V., to secure unlawful financial gain.

In a total of 19 cases, she is suspected of presenting false information and concealing facts, defrauding 19 people. Without their consent and authorization, A.S.D. allegedly used their personal data to apply for quick consumer loans in their name.

After the loans were approved and the funds transferred, the money is suspected to have been illegally appropriated by A.S.D. and M.V.

M.V., according to police, acted on the basis of a prior agreement and assisted A.S.D. through actions that enabled the fraud to be carried out. From this scheme, both are suspected of having unlawfully obtained 10,820,000 denars, the MPB announcement states.
