According to two sources briefed on the decision, the President of the United States has ordered the military to stop launching new attacks on Iran, ending a wave of daily American strikes that lasted nearly two weeks, reports US news outlet Axios.

Trump’s decision came after an uninterrupted 13-day period during which he had approved military operations against Iranian targets.
It is unclear whether this halt is merely a temporary measure or signals a fundamental redirection of Washington’s strategy.
The same sources explain that the decision reflects, on one hand, Trump’s intention to give more space to diplomatic channels, and on the other hand, the conviction that without resuming a larger-scale military campaign, the effectiveness of the current intensity of strikes has already reached its limit.
Despite this, the Pentagon continues to prepare scenarios for a possible resumption of more expanded operations, without a concrete order from the president for such a development.
