In remarks delivered during the NATO summit in Turkey, United States President Donald Trump escalated his rhetoric toward Iran, describing the regime in Tehran as “evil” and calling its leaders “sick people” and a “cancer.”
Trump reiterated Washington’s position that Iran must under no circumstances be allowed the opportunity to develop nuclear weapons.

“The Iranian leaders are bad people. They are a cancer, and you know what must be done with cancer — it must be stopped as quickly as possible,” the American president said.
He also mentioned the reported attacks on Tuesday against ships in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as strikes against targets in Kuwait and Bahrain, presenting them as evidence that the Iranian regime poses a major threat to regional and international security.
The American president also said that the Iranian administration is “crazy” and again stressed that the US will continue to oppose any attempt by Iran to secure military nuclear capabilities.
