An Axios report, based on official U.S. sources, reveals that President Donald Trump has given the green light for a Saudi military intervention against Houthi rebels in Yemen, following a direct request from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
According to this outlet, the Saudi offensive that struck Sanaa airport and the immediate Houthi missile attack in response are considered the highest level of confrontation between the two sides since 2022.

During the phone call, Mohammed bin Salman asked Washington for support for a military operation against the Yemeni group, and according to the cited officials, that support was granted by the American president.
