Trial begins tomorrow in Kumanovo for T.B. from Staro Nagoričane, accused of four murders and two attempted murders

Tomorrow, July 9, the trial is expected to begin at the Basic Court in Kumanovo against T.B. (25) from Staro Nagoričane, who is accused of four murders and two attempted murders.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, since he intentionally took the lives of several people, he faces a sentence of at least 10 years in prison or life imprisonment.

In this case, the prosecution in the courtroom will be represented by Ljubomir Lape, a public prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kumanovo.

Expert reports compiled during the investigation indicate that the acts were committed for other base motives, namely with the aim of satisfying his sexual passions toward the bodies of dead women.

According to the charges, the first incident occurred during the night between 05.01.2025 and 06.01.2025 in the village of Klečovce, where he intentionally took the life of an elderly and helpless woman. He had entered her home and, while she was sleeping in bed, physically attacked her and began strangling her with force. The victim died as a result of fractures and numerous injuries that made it impossible for her to breathe.

During an unspecified period between 05.06.2025 and 07.06.2025, in the village of Dragomance, he is also suspected of intentionally killing another woman in a similar manner.

The third case was recorded on 22.07.2025 in the village of Čelopek, where he attempted to kill a woman, but she managed to frighten him off by shouting to her son, causing the defendant to flee.

Later, during the evening hours between 17.01.2026 and 18.01.2026 in the village of Staro Nagoričane, the defendant intentionally killed a younger woman, whom he knew was alone. In this case as well, the method of committing the crime was similar to that used against the earlier victims.

In the village of Čelopek, during the evening between 05.02.2026 and 06.02.2026, he also took the life of another elderly and helpless victim.

The last documented incident occurred on February 9 in the village of Čelopek, where he intentionally attempted to take the life of another woman as well, but was frightened by a noise he heard and left without carrying out his intention to the end.
