Prosecutors seek life imprisonment for suspected serial killer in Staro Nagoričane

The prosecution asked the Basic Court in Kumanovo to sentence Trajko Bojkovski, accused of being a serial killer from Staro Nagoričane, to life imprisonment.

Bojkovski faces charges of four murders and two attempted murders.

In his statement, Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Lape said that although Bojkovski worked as a shepherd, he did not protect vulnerable people but instead turned them into victims. According to him, the defendant targeted elderly, single women, whom he then attacked.

Lape said the evidence unequivocally shows that Stanče Karevska, Janka Antevska, Marija Marinkovska and Mira Stankovska died in the same manner, through suffocation and pressure on the chest. He added that some of the victims also had injuries to their genitals, while traces of the defendant’s DNA were identified on two victims and one of the survivors.

Bojkovski denies involvement in the murder of Stanče Karevska. However, the prosecutor argued that during his testimony he mentioned details about the time and manner in which the crime was committed that corresponded with the findings of the forensic examination.

Dragana Ilievska-Todoroviq, the lawyer representing several injured parties, also said that the evidence links Bojkovski to Karevska’s murder, despite his denial./Telegrafi/
