An illegally built structure in Ohrid’s Old Town will be removed through compulsory administrative relocation by the State Inspectorate for Construction and Urbanism (DIGU), after an extraordinary inspection found that the previous decision ordering its demolition had not been carried out.
The Ministry of Transport said that, following information received from the public, a state inspector from the State Inspectorate for Construction and Urbanism went to the site today and conducted an extraordinary inspection of a structure at KP-15972, KO Ohrid 3, in Ohrid’s Old Town.

According to the ministry, the inspection confirmed that although the State Inspectorate for Construction and Urbanism had previously issued a decision for the building’s removal, it had not been enforced. Based on the state inspector’s findings, the inspectorate will issue an order for the structure’s compulsory administrative removal, in accordance with the applicable legal regulations.
The Ministry of Transport stressed that its commitment to the fight against illegal construction will remain unwavering, continuous, and without any exceptions, throughout the country.
“The Construction Law is applied equally to everyone and will not be enforced selectively,” the Ministry of Transport said.
