A serious road accident resulting in one death occurred on the Korçë-Maliq national road near the village of Vashtëmi. According to preliminary information, an Audi, which is suspected to have been traveling at high speed, struck another vehicle from behind.

The driver of the vehicle that was struck, a 27-year-old who was traveling alone, died at the scene from his injuries.
Three of the four people traveling in the Audi—a young man and two young women—were injured. One of them is receiving medical treatment at Korçë Hospital, while the two young women were taken to Pogradec Hospital.
The driver of the Audi was taken into police custody.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the serious accident.
