Tragedy in Shkodër: Gas cylinder and petrol bottle found at scene, explosions suspected

Investigations into the tragedy in Postribë, where a mother and her two children lost their lives, have revealed new details. A gas cylinder and a petrol bottle were found in the house engulfed by flames, and explosions are suspected to have occurred during the fire.

The victims are Bleona Çelaj, 24 years old, and her two minor children, aged 1 and 4 respectively.

According to preliminary information, the 24-year-old and her children had recently returned from Germany and had gone to the family’s old house in the village of Domen.

The work of the fire service was hindered by the difficult terrain, as the house is located about 30 minutes’ walk from the main road.

The investigative team continues to collect evidence to determine the origin of the fire and to clarify all circumstances of the event. So far, the main lead remains an accidental fire, though other possibilities are not ruled out.
