Relatives of the victims of Friday’s explosion in the Plaka area of Greece have arrived in the Greek capital, as procedures continue to recover the victims’ bodies. The tragic incident occurred in a building in the Plaka area, where the explosion caused the structure to collapse and claimed the lives of several people.

Meanwhile, Greek media report that there was evidence of the presence of a gas smell or a possible gas leak. However, until late last night, none of the witnesses questioned had mentioned anything of the sort in their official statements.

In its preliminary assessment, police ruled out the possibility of a criminal act, while the exact causes of the explosion remained unclear until late yesterday.
