Toshkovski: Security Has Been the Top Priority Since Day One

Interior Minister Panče Toshkovski said this morning that from day one they had taken on the responsibility of placing security at the top of their priorities. He said that over the past two years they have faced a series of challenges in the field of security, but according to him, commitment, integrity, and international cooperation have brought visible results.

Presenting a review of the work carried out over the past two years, Toshkovski highlighted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has strengthened its institutional capacities and advanced the fight against organized crime and corruption.

He stressed that investments have been made in equipment, training, and new technologies. According to Toshkovski, today’s report does not merely present figures, but provides concrete proof of the work and professionalism of police officers and all employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He added that he is aware that much work still remains to be done, since security is a process that requires great dedication. For this reason, he emphasized, they will continue with the same energy, with a clear vision and determination to build a modern Ministry of Internal Affairs that will be able to respond to challenges.

According to the minister, being part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs represents not only a profession, but also an honor and a responsibility.

“We stand every day in the service of citizens and the state. Our goal is a safe state, a stable system, and strong institutions,” Toshkovski stressed.

The minister is presenting an account of the work carried out at the Training Center in Idrizovo. On this occasion, as he spoke about every segment of police work, he sent the message that there will be no untouchables and no selectivity, regardless of function, position, or workplace.

“Only by respecting the laws and treating everyone equally will we achieve results,” Toshkovski underlined.
