Today marks the 124th day of protests against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama. Citizens and activists are calling for the head of government to resign and for a technocratic government to be formed.

At the center of their demands is also the repeal of several laws that protesters say undermine Albanians’ interests.
During yesterday’s protest, participants chanted several slogans against the prime minister and the government. These included “Arrest Rama” and “Without young people, there is no Albania.”
The protest also took place yesterday during the visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, when protesters delivered the message: “There is no Albania in the EU with Edi Rama.”
Protesters say they will continue holding rallies and calling for political change. The protests remain focused on demands for the current government to step down and for a technocratic government to be formed.
