Three Arrested in Fier for Unlicensed Weapons Possession, Police Confiscate Two Firearms and a Shotgun

Law enforcement forces have finalized two separate operations within a 24-hour period in the areas of Fier and Mallakastra, cracking down on illegal weapons possession. As part of these interventions, three citizens were handcuffed, while two pistols and a shotgun were seized as material evidence.

On the Bypass road axis in Fier, during the execution of the operation called “Aksi,” officers arrested a 19-year-old originally from Vlora. Suspicions indicate he was driving a vehicle while carrying a firearm. The inspection of the vehicle led to the discovery and confiscation of a pistol.

Deepened investigations also led to the arrest of a 28-year-old passenger who was in the same vehicle. According to data, the latter was aware of the presence of the weapon and knew it was destined to be sold in the city of Fier.

Meanwhile, in the territory of Mallakastra, the operation “Hidden Guns” was successfully concluded. A 38-year-old man, residing in the village of Lofkënd, was arrested. He is accused that after an argument started for trivial reasons, he threatened another citizen by pointing a shotgun at him.

During the search of the suspect’s residence, the blue uniforms found and seized an automatic Kalashnikov-type weapon and a shotgun, which are claimed to have been kept in violation of the law. All procedural acts have been forwarded to the prosecution body for subsequent legal steps.
