Police arrested three people in the Bllacë border area on the evening of July 31 after they were found loading goods suspected of having been illegally brought in from Kosovo.

The intervention took place at around 11:00 p.m. along the border between the village of Bllacë and Hani i Elezit. Officers from the Regional Center for Border Affairs – North were acting under an operational plan to detect and prevent smuggling.
N.B. (27), H.B. (26) and E.Xh. (21), all residents of the village of Bllacë, were detained at the scene.
According to the police statement, the suspects were caught in the act while placing the smuggled goods in a “Mercedes Vito” transport vehicle with Skopje license plates, as well as in an unregistered “Hyundai” car.
The goods and both vehicles were seized, while the public prosecutor was informed of the incident. Once the documentation of the case is completed, the relevant reports will be filed against the three suspects.
