Six Kosovo citizens injured in two-car collision on Skopje – Bllacë road

On the morning of July 24, 2026, police authorities in Skopje were notified of a road incident on the highway linking the capital with the Lower Bllacë border crossing.

According to data from Macedonia’s Ministry of Interior, two vehicles with Kosovo registration were involved. One car, a Kia, was driven by K.C., 33, while behind the wheel of the Volkswagen Golf was S.J., 61, both from Kosovo.

Following the collision, both drivers and several passengers suffered injuries. Severe bodily injuries were sustained by both drivers, as well as S.J., 54, and E.J., 20, who were travelling in the Volkswagen Golf. Meanwhile, two other passengers in the same car, B.H., 23, and B.I., 35, sustained bodily injuries. All those involved are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

Medical teams received the injured at the “8 September” General Hospital and at the Emergency Centre near the “Mother Teresa” clinical complex in Skopje, where their injuries were diagnosed and treated.

The public prosecutor has ordered that the driver of the Kia, K.C., be detained as soon as he is released from hospital. Additionally, the investigative unit of the Skopje Police Department has carried out an examination of the accident site to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.
