They were cultivating narcotic plants in Skuraj, police detain two young men and seize a vehicle

Two young men have fallen into the hands of the police in Kurbin after being caught during the operation codenamed “Vigjilenca 3,” in the village of Skuraj, where narcotic plants had been cultivated.

According to the police, the arrested individuals are Alfons Halili, 25, and Seldi Tafa, 19, both residents of Fushë Milot, Kurbin. They are suspected of having collaborated in this criminal activity.

The operation was carried out by the services of the Kurbin Police Commissariat, as part of the intensive checks being conducted throughout Lezhë County for the prevention, identification, and crackdown on cases of narcotic plant cultivation, as well as on the basis of information obtained through operational channels.

During the intervention in the territory of the village of Skuraj, officers found suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants, which were later destroyed by burning.

At the place where these plants had been planted, the police caught the two young men in the act and arrested them.

As material evidence, 1 vehicle and other items were seized, which will serve the investigation for the full legal documentation of the case.

The police say that anti-cannabis checks will continue throughout the territory of Lezhë County, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office at the Lezhë Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for further action.
