They tried to get 100 thousand euros from Armand Duka by posing as Taulant Balla! The contradictory testimonies of the two young men are revealed

The testimonies of Orest Balla and Edison Korra, arrested for attempting to defraud the president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, by using the name of MP Taulant Balla, have revealed different versions of their involvement in the incident.

Orest Balla stated that he was contacted on Instagram by a person who had promised him 2 thousand euros in exchange for obtaining a phone number and communicating with another individual.

Balla recounted that a person then came to him by vehicle and handed him the phone number. Through this number, he had communicated with Armand Duka’s son. In his testimony, Balla also denied knowing Edison Korra previously.

A different version was given by Edison Korra. He claimed that he was contacted by Balla at a bar, where the latter had asked him to pick up an order.

The discrepancies between the statements of the two arrested men have raised questions about the role of each in the suspected fraud scheme.

Orest Balla himself did not communicate directly with Armand Duka. According to data made public, the person who introduced themselves to the head of the Albanian Football Federation used the Signal app and presented themselves with the identity of Taulant Balla.

Investigations are ongoing to determine who is behind these communications, as well as whether the two arrested men were fully aware of the scheme and the other people involved.
