“They dragged us along the ground and used violence against us” / Protester: Today the communist beast sought blood, but we will remain peaceful

Citizens taking part in the protest held this morning in front of Parliament accused the police, saying violence was used against them.

One of the protesters said the gathering would not change course and would continue peacefully.

In his statement, Ilir Xhemalaj said the protesters were met with police force, but stressed that their response would not be violent.

“Today this bloodthirsty regime sought to sacrifice hundreds of peaceful protesters who were sitting down. They were dragged along the ground, they were assaulted, and dozens were arrested. Today the communist beast wanted blood, but we will not give it to them. We are different from them. We do not want Albanian blood. We will fight peacefully until this regime disappears,” the protester said.
