The Socialist Party’s “Loyal Presence” begins meetings with citizens, Rama: Every request will be addressed and receive a response

The new initiative of the Socialist Party, “Loyal Presence,” began this Friday at 5:00 p.m. across Albania, although not all Socialist MPs held meetings with citizens.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the initiative would be repeated every Friday, at the same time and in the same place.

According to Rama, “Loyal Presence” was conceived as a neutral space where citizens can directly present their concerns, complaints and requests, without cameras or party membership cards.

He clarified that this is not a meeting, but individual hearings. The issues raised will be recorded and officially forwarded to the relevant institutions through the MP.

Rama stressed that the initiative does not guarantee a solution to every problem, but aims to ensure that no request goes unaddressed and that every citizen receives the response they are entitled to.

“Today at 5:00 p.m., the Socialist Party’s Loyal Presence began across Albania. It will be organized every Friday, at the same time and in the same place.

Every administrative unit in Albania, as well as urban areas within the largest cities, will have its own loyal presence one Friday a month. This presence is a neutral place, entered without cameras or party membership cards.

It is not a meeting, but an individual hearing about a citizen’s problem, complaint or request. It takes note of the matter, officially refers the issues to the institutions through the MP and ensures that the citizen receives a response.

Following the prime minister’s order to implement the initiative, former Agriculture Minister Anila Denaj announced that she would meet with citizens at a café in Bërzhitë.

Former Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha designated a venue on “Migjeni” Street, in Tirana’s Administrative Unit 11, as the meeting place.

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu chose Garibaldi Square in Kombinat, while Culture Minister Blendi Gonxhe will receive residents of Mëzez at another café.

Ogerta Manastirliu, who has been proposed as a candidate in the upcoming local elections for Tirana, chose the “Petro Zheji” Library in Administrative Unit 9, unlike her colleagues, who will hold their meetings in cafés.

Erion Braçe is expected to begin the hearings next week, after consulting this Friday with the Socialist Party’s local sections in Administrative Unit 5.

By the time the report was published, former Parliament Speaker and former Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali had not yet announced where she would meet with citizens as a Tirana MP.

Fatmir Xhafaj had also not yet announced where he would implement the “Loyal Presence.”

Residents of Kavajë will have the opportunity to be heard by the chairman of the Socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, who in recent months has paid particular attention to the city.

MPs from the other 11 counties, like their colleagues in Tirana County, have also published their meeting locations, including cafés and village centers, as part of the implementation of the “Loyal Presence.”
