According to family members, the 51-year-old lost one leg as a result of her injuries. Her daughter, 27-year-old Oriada Lazaj, has also lost one leg, while the other leg has severe injuries and risks further complications if it is not treated at a specialized center.
The young woman has also suffered fractures to her thigh and pelvis, making it necessary to transfer her outside Albania for more advanced treatment.
Family members said the decision to transport them to Greece was made because the procedures they need cannot be carried out in the country.
According to them, both have passed the danger to their lives, but their condition remains serious and the road to recovery will be long. They have appealed for help, as the cost of treatment is unaffordable for the family.
