The Guardian Covers Time Kadrijaj’s Egg Attack on Kurti

The prestigious British newspaper The Guardian has published an article about the incident that occurred yesterday in Kosovo’s parliament, where Time Kadrijaj, an MP from the Alliance, threw eggs at acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

According to the report, the country has been experiencing a political deadlock for nearly two years.

During the constitutive session, Kadrijaj took eggs out of her bag and threw them at Kurti while chanting, “Shame, shame.” The current prime minister was once again seeking to adjourn the session without putting forward a candidate for speaker of parliament, claiming that he needed additional time for talks on the election of the president.

The British outlet also recalled a similar incident from 2015, when former Prime Minister Isa Mustafa was the “target” of such an attack and was also pelted with eggs.
