Reports from the scene indicate that officers pursued young people in some of Tirana’s busiest areas, including the New Bazaar, streets near the center and the 9-Katëshe area.
Police are carrying out checks on people suspected of having taken part in the protest, while a tense situation continues on side streets, accompanied by an increased presence of patrols. Water cannons and tear gas are being used to disperse the groups.
