Tahiri: AAK Is Not Seeking Government Posts, but Will Help Establish Institutions if Six Points Are Accepted

Besnik Tahiri, an AAK MP, said the Alliance has made it publicly clear that it does not aim to join the government and is not seeking any position, privilege, or share of power.

According to him, the party is ready to support the establishment of the new institutions, provided that its demands are met.

Tahiri said AAK is the only party to have presented a public position on the process of establishing the institutions. He stressed that the Alliance does not want government posts, but considers the possibility of Kosovo moving from one electoral process to another dangerous, describing it as a threat to the country’s statehood.

He added that AAK is not seeking new elections and has put forward six points for the formation of the institutions, which, according to him, are not about the Alliance’s interests, but about Kosovo.

The MP warned that if the party’s demands are not taken into account, AAK will not allow itself to be used as a tool. Tahiri added that the Alliance has become a respected party, after previously not even being invited to meetings.
