Sveçla: With the passing of Altin Kryeziu, the Kosovo Police lost an exemplary officer

Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sveçla has extended his condolences to the family, colleagues and everyone who knew police officer Altin Kryeziu, who died at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) on Sunday. Kryeziu had sustained injuries several days earlier after being hit by a car in Malisheva.

Sveçla said his death had caused great pain to the Kryeziu family, the Kosovo Police, his colleagues and everyone who knew him. According to the acting minister, the country lost an exemplary member of the Kosovo Police who was dedicated to his duty and to protecting the safety of citizens.

He also expressed his gratitude to the medical staff, praising their extraordinary efforts and commitment to treating Altin until the final moments of his life.

In his statement, the acting interior minister called on all road users to act with care and full responsibility. Sveçla stressed that carelessness in traffic can cause loss of life, while the case of Altin Kryeziu represents the loss of a young life and of an officer who was serving the citizens.
