Success for Meghan Markle: Her Show Nominated for an Emmy Despite Ending on Netflix

Meghan Markle has received another accolade in her television career, as her show “With Love, Meghan” has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.

The Duchess of Sussex shared the news with her followers on Instagram, thanking the team, producers and all collaborators who contributed to the project.

“Congratulations to the extraordinary team, producers and all collaborators of ‘With Love, Meghan’. We have been nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Lifestyle Series category,” Meghan wrote.

In this category, the show will compete against other productions such as “A Different Breed”, “George to the Rescue”, “The Motherhood” and “The Wizard of Paws”. The winner will be announced at the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony on October 30.

“With Love, Meghan” was released on Netflix in March 2025 and offered viewers cooking recipes, gardening advice, event-planning tips and moments from Meghan’s daily life at her residence in Montecito, California.

Although the show attracted significant attention, it was also met with criticism, especially in the United Kingdom, where some described it as a project disconnected from reality.

Despite the Emmy nomination, Netflix decided not to continue the project with a third season, following reports that the second season failed to rank among the platform’s most-watched programmes.

Nevertheless, the platform praised Meghan’s creative contribution and her role in launching the brand, while representatives of As Ever said the company would continue operating independently.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signed a multi-year deal with Netflix in 2020, after stepping back from their active duties as members of the British royal family.
