Students Join 95-Day Protest Outside Prime Minister’s Office: “The Nation Is Calling Us

For 95 days, citizens have been protesting outside the Prime Minister’s Office, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, and students have now joined the movement.

Present in the square, the students held banners reading “Join us, students—the nation is calling us” and “The students are here.”

As the students approached the crowd, the protesters chanted, “Without youth, there is no Albania.”

The protesters also announced that on September 7, the 100th day of the protest, there would be a larger mobilization and that, according to them, the entire Prime Minister’s Office building would be surrounded that day.

One of the protesters stated earlier that Prime Minister Edi Rama “hasn’t seen anything yet,” emphasizing that they would not leave the square until his resignation.

The protest has lasted 95 days, and the organizers have warned that it will escalate in the coming days.
