The State Election Commission today unanimously approved the final results of the first round of the snap election for mayor of the Municipality of Bërvenica. As no mayor was elected in the first round, the runoff vote will be held on November 1.
At its 23rd meeting, SEC Chair Bojan Mariçiq announced that both legal deadlines for submitting complaints had passed and that the Commission had received none.

“I would like to inform the public that both complaint deadlines have expired: the one concerning the voting process, which ended yesterday at 19:00, and the one concerning the process of determining and tabulating the results, which ended today at 12:30. No complaints were submitted to the SEC before the deadlines expired,” Mariçiq said.
The runoff will feature candidate number 1, Stojanço Radiçevski, from the “Your Macedonia” coalition, led by VMRO-DPMNE, and candidate number 6, Arkin Jahiji, from the National Alliance for Integration.
The first round of the election was held on October 18.
