Spectacular escape in Greece/ What was found in the suspects’ car

Further details have emerged about the spectacular escape of Albanian prisoner Gentian Çipi from Serres Hospital. Greek police have found one of the vehicles believed to have been used by his accomplices. The car was involved in an accident during the escape, and a Kalashnikov was found inside.

Greek police have secured an important piece of evidence in the investigation into the escape of the 41-year-old Albanian from Serres General Hospital.

Another detail that has attracted investigators’ attention is the bloodstains on the windshield, raising suspicions that one of the people in the car may have suffered a head injury.

Police found a Kalashnikov and ammunition inside the vehicle. The evidence collected from the car is expected to be analyzed to identify the people involved in the organized escape.

Meanwhile, in another area, a completely burned-out vehicle was also found in Vrasna, in the municipality of Volvi. Authorities are verifying whether this car is also connected to the escape.

The 41-year-old Albanian escaped after armed, masked individuals dressed as police officers attacked the prison escort outside Serres Hospital. They threatened the external security personnel with weapons, disarmed them and took the convicted man with them.

The operation to apprehend the 41-year-old and his accomplices is ongoing.
