Shocking incident in Akërni village: Elderly woman sexually assaulted and robbed at home, 43-year-old suspect wanted

A shocking incident has shaken the village of Akërni, where a woman in her 70s is reported to have been assaulted and had her money taken inside her home.

Police have identified a 43-year-old man with the initials F.Y. as the suspected perpetrator. He lived in the same building as the victim.

According to preliminary information from investigators, the suspect rang the doorbell and, when the elderly woman opened the door, struck her in the head with an axe. As a result of the blow, the woman lost consciousness.

Afterward, the suspect continued searching the apartment, managing to take approximately 700,000 old lek. According to investigators, before leaving the home, the 43-year-old also sexually assaulted the victim.

After the incident was reported, the elderly woman was interviewed by law enforcement officers. During the investigation, the suspected weapon, an axe believed to have been used to strike the victim, was also found and confiscated.

F.Y. has been declared wanted by police, who are continuing their investigation to establish the full circumstances of the incident and gather the necessary evidence. Sources from the investigative team said that the suspect is also considered to be a user of narcotic substances.
