Shehaj: The concert was a failure, Rama spent 4.2 million euros in public funds to gather spectators

The leader of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama, saying he used 4.2 million euros from Albanians’ funds to cover a concert that, according to him, had failed.

According to Shehaj, in a reaction posted on social media, those 4.2 million euros will be used to fill the stadium with party patronage workers and public administration employees, after citizens did not respond to the call to boycott the concert because of the protest.

“The Kanye West concert failed. The winners were the protesters who called on Albanian citizens to boycott the concert.But what does Edi Rama do? He does not listen to the protesters, but takes 4 million euros from citizens’ money and spends it to buy the tickets for the concert that were not sold.Then he will fill the concert with patronage workers and the administration,” Shehaj declared.

He also added that “Edi Rama must resign and 4 million euros are not enough to defeat the citizens, to defeat the protesters.”
