Agron Shehaj, leader of the MUNDËSIA Party, has raised accusations over the use of schools in invitations sent to students for Kanye West’s concert, which is scheduled to take place on July 11.
According to him, parents received a message from the school informing them that their children had been selected to take part in this concert.

“Imagine being a parent and receiving this message from the school.
‘Hello! Your daughter has been selected by the school for her excellent results to attend Kanye West’s concert on July 11.’”
Shehaj stressed that Kanye West is an artist who, according to him, has publicly expressed positions in support of Nazism and Hitler.
“This is Kanye West, an admirer of Nazism and an admirer of Hitler.”
He called it unacceptable that in Albania schools would invite outstanding students to attend the concert of such a figure.
“Only in Albania can it happen that a school invites outstanding students to go and attend the concert of a singer whose concerts have been banned in many countries around the world because he is a supporter of Nazism.”
Shehaj further declared that, unlike other countries where Kanye West’s concerts have been banned, in Albania Prime Minister Edi Rama has spent millions of euros to buy tickets.
“In Italy, in England, in South Korea, governments have banned his concerts. Whereas in Albania, the opposite is happening. Edi Rama has spent more than €4 million to buy tickets for this singer’s concert and now he has to fill the stadium.”
According to him, outstanding students, militants and patronage operatives are being mobilized to fill the concert, while the prime minister aims to show that the event will go ahead despite the civic protest that for 40 days has been demanding his resignation.
“So he invites outstanding students, he invites militants, he invites patronage operatives because he needs to drown out the protest. He wants to show that the concert will be magnificent and that it will take place despite the fact that for 40 days protesters have filled the boulevard demanding Edi Rama’s resignation, demanding that Edi Rama appear before justice.”
In conclusion, Shehaj described the use of public funds for this concert as unjustifiable.
“This is unacceptable! Albanian citizens’ money cannot be spent to support and buy tickets for a singer who admires Nazism. This can happen only in Albania.”
