Shehaj after Rama’s statement in Germany: Albanians want to see him face justice

Agron Shehaj, leader of the Opportunity Party, has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama’s statement in Germany, where the latter said that his “dream” is for Albania to sell Germany an artificial intelligence system for the fight against corruption.

In his public response, Shehaj called the statement “Edi Rama’s latest mockery.” According to him, while thousands of citizens have been protesting on the boulevard for 31 days, demanding the prime minister’s resignation, Rama goes to Europe and talks about fighting corruption in Germany.

Shehaj said that behind these statements lies a major concern of the prime minister, claiming that he is trying to evade justice.

In his remarks, Shehaj said that everyone has their own dreams, but according to him, Edi Rama’s dream is unimaginable.

He stated that Rama dreams of helping Germany in the fight against corruption through the system that, according to him, he himself has created, the AI system he has created.

“This is Edi Rama’s latest mockery! Because in fact he has a big problem. Edi Rama is roaming around Europe, he has gone to Germany because he is trying to escape justice,” Shehaj said.

He went on to say that while protesters have been taking to the boulevard every day for 31 days, demanding his resignation and that he face justice, Edi Rama continues, according to him, to mock them.

According to Shehaj, Rama has nowhere to turn, because Albanians’ dream is an uncorrupted government. He added that for this to become reality, Edi Rama must step down and above all face justice, so that whoever comes after him understands that no one is above the law and no one is untouchable when they steal from the poorest people in Europe.
