Shasivari – Qehaja Meeting: Strengthening Judicial Coordination and Deepening Reforms between the Two Countries

Jeton Shasivari, the Minister of Justice, hosted a meeting with Florian Qehaja, the Ambassador of Kosovo to North Macedonia, with the focus on deepening bilateral relations in the justice sector.

The interlocutors discussed key topics such as the consolidation of the rule of law, the autonomy of the judiciary, and the digital modernization of justice services, which is at the core of initiatives to increase institutional effectiveness.

In his remarks, Minister Shasivari stressed that both countries share a common aspiration for a stable, democratic region anchored in the European Union.

“As neighboring countries and partners, North Macedonia and Kosovo aim for the same stable, democratic and EU-integrated region. The experiences and best practices we exchange will help to implement reforms more effectively and strengthen our partnership,” he said.

Furthermore, Shasivari emphasized that close harmonization between the justice institutions of both countries, together with the exchange of experiences, will give impetus to reform transformations, strengthen the legal order, and advance the fulfillment of common objectives in the European integration process.
