Shasivari and Ambassador Qehaja Discuss Strengthening Cooperation on Justice and Reforms

Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari met with the Republic of Kosovo’s ambassador to North Macedonia, Florian Qehaja, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the justice sector.

The discussions focused on strengthening the rule of law, ensuring judicial independence, and digitalizing the justice system. These issues were addressed within the framework of reforms aimed at making institutions operate more efficiently.

Shasivari emphasized that North Macedonia and Kosovo share a vision of building a democratic, stable region integrated into the European Union.

“As neighboring countries and partners, North Macedonia and Kosovo seek a stable, democratic region that is part of the European Union. Sharing experiences and successful practices will enable reforms to be implemented more effectively and further strengthen cooperation between us,” Shasivari said.

According to the minister, close ties between the justice institutions of both countries, together with the exchange of experiences, will help advance reforms, consolidate the rule of law, and achieve common goals on the path toward European integration.
