A serious incident was reported this morning in the village of Demiraj, Gjilan, where a 27-year-old man and an infant were found lifeless in a house.
The news was confirmed by Ismet Hashani, the Police spokesperson for the Gjilan region, who said that the Police were notified about the incident at around 8:47 a.m. on November 1, 2026.

Immediately after receiving the information, police units, the State Prosecutor and an emergency medical team arrived at the scene.
The latter confirmed the deaths of both individuals.
According to the Police, the victims were a male person born in 1999 and an infant.
The bodies were sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) for an autopsy, while the authorities have launched an investigation to shed light on the circumstances of this tragic incident.
The Police said that the case has been classified as “Investigation of death” and that the investigation is being conducted in coordination with the State Prosecutor.
