Serious domestic violence in Pogradec, husband arrested; 73-year-old woman airlifted to the Trauma Hospital in critical condition

On Saturday afternoon, another episode of domestic violence was recorded in Pogradec, where a man inflicted severe violence on his 73-year-old wife.

According to the information available, the incident took place just a few minutes earlier in the lakeside town. Following an argument between them, the elderly man is suspected of having struck the woman with hard objects, causing multiple injuries to her body.

Immediately after intervening, police were able to detain the suspected perpetrator. Meanwhile, the 73-year-old woman was initially transported to the Pogradec hospital and was then prepared to be flown by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital, as her condition is reported to be very serious.

This marks the second case of domestic violence in Pogradec within just a few days. Only a few days earlier, a husband stabbed his wife, causing her serious injuries, while today another elderly man ended up sending his wife to the hospital.
